We’d like to give you a quick update on where we are with the discussion surrounding development of the town center. The MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) between the City of Kirtland and Marous Development is set to expire on November 1. An option for a 90-day extension was stated in the MOU, and both parties have agreed not to exercise this extension period.
Although we’ve had great feedback from our community surrounding a potential town center development, both parties agree that many questions remain as to what project would receive the most support from the most Kirtland residents. This was a great exercise in presenting an idea and listening to our community. I look forward to continuing engaging our residents so that we can keep working together toward a better Kirtland.
