Road Worker 2
This work calls for the use of advanced maintenance skills acquired by experience or on-the-job instruction. Position requires more than usual physical strength and endurance. A Road Worker 2 will work under the supervision of the Service Director or a Manager/Supervisor who issues oral or written work orders and inspects work. Service Technician is required to be able to complete tasks with limited supervision while working independently or with other workers. Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License; Ability to obtain and retain a valid Ohio CDL (Class A) with tanker endorsement within (6) months of hire and pass ongoing DOT drug testing. Equipment Operator and experience in Public Works preferred. Wage dependent on qualifications. Opportunity to grow within Kirtland Public Works Department.

Part Time/Seasonal Laborer
The City of Kirtland is accepting applications for a summer laborer position in the Service Department. The position is temporary seasonal from May to August 31st. The applicant will work under the supervision of the Service Director and/or the Service Crew Leader. Duties will include general labor, landscaping maintenance and repair, park duties, minor street repairs and maintenance and will assist with the department’s operation and maintenance. Qualifications: Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. The applicant must be able to work outdoors and may be exposed to adverse weather conditions. Opportunity to grow within Kirtland Public Works Department. Condition of employment: Applicant must pass a preemployment drug screening.
