The City of Kirtland is currently accepting applications and resumes for the position of full time police officer though lateral entry with an annual salary range of $60,644 – $69,943. Kirtland Police Department is paired with Ohio Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association (OPBA) following a collective bargaining agreement.

Applicants must be a current full-time officer and have a minimum of 2-year full-time experience as a police officer. Candidates must be currently OPOTA certified and possess a valid Ohio driver’s license. Applicants must be able to pass a psychological exam, background check, polygraph and a medical exam. Applicants will also be required to pass a physical agility test (Cooper Standards) administered by appointment, or possess an active Cuyahoga Community College Physical Agility Test.
