Located in the heart of picturesque Kirtland, the schools and community believe that our students are Kirtland's "Pride." Community support of Kirtland Schools comes from its many active groups such as the Music Boosters, Athletic Boosters, the PTA, Kirtland Community Cares and the Kirtland Educational Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization. The Foundation, locally controlled and financed, provides materials, training equipment and educational specialists necessary to supplement curriculum programs.

A dedicated staff of certified educators and support personnel serve our student population in one elementary school, a middle school and a high school. The Kirtland School District is known for its innovative program, which supports the belief in meeting the individual needs of the student at every level of education. Our curriculum provides for the rich, diverse backgrounds of our students through such programs as special education, independent study and junior career internships, Advance Placement courses, 13 vocational programs and career exploration. A variety of sports and extracurricular activities are offered.
